it's not a matter of samba wanting to control unix daemons, although this
does raise the issue of whether it is appropriate to have such a
comprehensive set of dce/rpc services attached to samba rather than to
individual dce/rpc daemons. it's just that samba does dce/rpc over SMB,
so at the moment we have no choice.

it's more a matter of whether, using "SRVMGR.EXE" and selecting "Services"
or using rpcclient "svcenum" "svcstart" "svcstop" commands, an
administrator would wish to control unix daemons using an NT admin tool or
a unix command line tool, remotely.
