No subject

I get prompted for a password. After I type the password, whether correct or 
incorrect, I get the message "The account is not
authorized to login from this station".

Question(s):
How do I make the linux machine part of the KMLAB workgroup?
(guidelines)

What could be the source of my problems?

I've been tackling my problems for a couple of days.
I know that I am probably asking for too much, but some
help would be appreciated it.
