NT Domain

I've set samba up to run an NT domain but when I try to connect it says that the credentials do not match I've viewed the smb.conf file and try a few things but no luck. Also I've set the domain up as Stargaze so when I connected it asks for this and this is what I type

Stargate(Domain)
Then a pop up message comes up and asks
Enter the name and password of an account with the permission to join the domain
I type for user my machine name =Sg1
And the password and it then comes up about the credentials
