file sharing disabled under W2K

i have Samba 2.2.2 as PDC and Win2K Pro SP2 as workstation.
i have joined Samba domain and can log on from ws . basically everything is fine. when i log on to local domain instead of samba domain , i
have file sharing enabled and i can get a list of users from
Samba domain. however, when i log on to Samba domain 
file sharing feature is disabled in windows explorer (no menu item). seems to me that windows does not grant permission to share files in this case. is there a fix?
