Simple Question

Paul,
Are you able to login using root account?  If not then make sure to map the
users from samba to Linux.  There is a script to do that.  Also, are you in
a Domain or Workgorup environment.  You may have to join the Linux box to NT
Domain.  That's quite easy to do.  HTH,
