The "stick your finger in the air" answer I usually give reporters
is that "30% of Windows clients connect to one or more Samba servers".

Then they go away trying to figure out how many clients that is :-).

It's a ballpark number that came out of some corporate research by
"someone who must not be named"...... :-) :-).
