You have to use the an add user script and join the domain
from w2k with the root account (use a different password than
the system one when you add root user to smbpasswd)

2.2.0 has some problems, please upgrade to 2.2.1a or wait a week
and try 2.2.2 it will solve other problems with sp2 too.
