Seth,

Your 'host allow' option shows only your localhost, could this be your
problem?

Onderwerp: need help- samba 2.2.0 died on me!!

I could use some help. at work today I had to uninstall 2.2.0 and go back to

2.0.7. for some reason when the sammba server was on the network noone could

browse in network neighborhood or connect to the sever. if I unplugged the
network cable everything ran fine. trying to logon from any NT box I would
get the error message that no domain controller was available. and other
times it would say a slow network connection was detected and did I want to

use my local or roaming profile? (roaming profile wouldn't work then
however)
yes i restarted saamba several times. I even went to a bare minium on a
smb.conf file and it still wouldn't work.
I could really use help, I had to go into work after being up for 24hrs and
was a zombie.

redhat 7.1
samba 2.2.0

here is the smb.conf file I was using

thanks all!
