If I remembar the first mail about this right:
 You have am machine and a user "avant"
This is a real challange, since user names, machine names, workgroup 
names and domain names are all managed in the same name space. So it 
may be be impossible what you are trying. Try it with a over machine 
name first. Let the machine be in a workgroup not named like the 
domain bevor joining the domain, ....

BTW:
A couple of mysterious problems went way when we renamed our domain 
not having the same name as the PDC
