domain log on with incorrect password returns wrong error message

hi

if I try to to log on to my samba_2_2 (CVS 3-3-01) with an incorrect username I get the following error message:
Unable to log on because the netlogon service is not running on this machine.

but if I enter a correct username/password everything is ok.
can anyone reproduce this?
