If you are running linux you need to patch your kernel -
http://acl.bestbits.at.
Then remove your config.cache and run ./configure --with-acl-support again.

hi all,

i wanna use samba2.2.0 with acl. all i know is, that i have to configure
samba with acl-support. is that all i have to do or
have i to change my smb.conf file or something else. where can i get
instructions for this in the net?
when i start "./configure --with-acl-support" i get the following lines:
checking whether to support ACLs... checking for acl_get_file in
-lacl... (cached) no
checking for ACL support... (cached) no
   checking for XFS ACL support...

thanks you for answers,
