mapping a unix drive on Windows 2000

Hello there,
 
Could someone help me here? I remember I had to modify some entries in the
registry to use Samba under Windows 95 R2, Windows98 and Windows NT. Now
I've just installed Windows 2000 and here I am with the same problem: When
logging into the unix machine, the password is not accepted. Can anyone
help, please?
