users list

My question to all this is. Does the SID get copied with the users username
and password. If not to other nt servers the user is considered a different
user.

I'm trying to move 3 NT domains to one Samba domain but I need to keep the sid
so that all the users will be the same as their NT counter parts.

One way I was going to try getting the sid is to make samba a BDC for each
domain and save the sam on the samba server. Since I just compile and stalled
TNG today I don't even know if the samba sam is in a human readable format.
If it is I plan on keeping a copy of each domain I become a BDC of then I can
add all three together to make one domain.

Will this work??

Thank you for the post I can't wait to try it tomorrow.
