I saw something like this, one time. The simplest
workaround was to set write permission to particular
printer in /var/spool/lpd for everybody.
But, as I said, this was the simplest solution, not the
best.
Samba Gurus, do you know something better ?
greetings,

Subject: Failure to print with Samba on Solaris 2.6
I have tried everything and read all your documentation but I cannot get
an
NT printer to print from Unix (Solaris 2.6). I can connect to the printer
using smbclient and get the smb> prompt. However I then cannot print a
file
using the print command. If I use cat file-name | smbclient
\\\\server\\client -c "print -" I get the error message "session setup
failed : ERRDOS - ERRnoaccess (Access denied)". This is obviously why it
won't print but I have no idea why.
I am using Samba Version 2.0.4b as supplied with Using Samba.
