As far as I know, anytime you want a computer to join a domain and it
presents that login windows, you must provide the userid and password for
the administrator of the domain that you wish to join.

I too am having the same problem. I have just obtained the HEAD branch thru
CVS on my FreeBSD 4.1 machine. I created a domain with the samba, a machine
account, and a user account. Upon trying to add my Win2K pro machine to the
new domain it tells me that my machine name was not found on the domain and
to provide an account that has permission to add it. As I know of, this
'adding a machine on-the-fly' is currently not supported in any of the samba
developments. Where do we go from here???
