Login Win95 into NT server through SAMBA

I'm not sure why you couldn't just use a hub, but okay.

The only chance I see here is to use smbfs to mount the Win98 share
locally on RH #1 (the gateway). Then run Samba on RH #1 to share
back out the same directory upstream to the NT network. For
printing, much the same. Get smbprint and a local Linux print queue
working that prints to the Win98 machine from RH #1. Then, share
back out that same queue via Samba.
