Win2k domain logons

Hi all

i've recently not been very active, so probably any of this has been asked
before; and i'll be satisfied with pointers to some messages or such

i should install e samba server w/ win2k domain logon, 
1. for this i need samba TNG, is this correct ?
2. has someone a working smb.conf / whatever else is also needed / an
installation instruction for this ?

as stated above i'm happy with some hints to already passed messages /
