newbie question

Hi all,
I am a first-time samba user and just added the first linux server to my NT
domain. It is a Compaq ProLiant running RedHat 6.2. I have been digging
through the samba docs for a while now but haven't found an answer to
whether there is a way to use existing NT domain accounts for authentication
and if so, how these are transferred from the NT PDC to the linux box...
Any help is greatly appreciated
