Hi Edward,
It means both. Samba simply uses whatever ACLs the underlying OS supports on
the file systems it uses. So the OS enforces "adherance" to the ACLs. Samba
also will allow the Windows NT user to view/add/change the underlying (UNIX)
ACLs (for supported ACL types.)
