vuid.tdb keeps growing

Hi folks,

I'm running, a somewhat patched, TNG 2.5 with LDAP as a pdc for win2k. 
My problem is the file vuid.tdb which is growing and growing (close
to 70MB and growing).

My question is: Wat's in this file and is it safe so stop Samba,
clean out this file and restart? Just stopping and restarting Samba
doesn't affect the file.
