machine accounts (was: SAmba and web password changing)

I followed this URL and found something even more interesting...
...a patch that avoids the need for machine accounts in the
/etc/passwd (still in smbpasswd)

Why is this patch not included in the usual samba version?
Having these accounts in /etc/passwd is quite annoing!
