profile not found in Samba-tng-alpha-2.5.3

I compiled up TNG 2.5 on Solaris 7.  I get this error log.smb:

PANIC: internal error




So smbd doesn't start.

I tried compiling this with both Sun's cc compiler and gcc.  The same error
happens.  Has anyone else managed to get this working on Solaris 7?
