Compiling 2.5 vs 2.5.2

aix?  yes.  you will, apparently, need gcc 2.95 for aix.  if you happen to
get binaries for gcc 2.95 on aix... GIVE THEM TO ME!!!!!

i royally screwed up an aix 4.2.2 box because we had a 4.3 upgrade cd, oh,
great, let's upgrade to 4.3.


oh xxxx it's actually a 4.3.2.3 upgrade that requires 4.3.2.0 as a
prerequisite.

[error, cannot recognise cd-rom.  error, cannot load dsia.  error, cannot
install.  AGH!]
