libsmbpw.so.0 error

I have installed the TMG-prealpha version on a Suse 6.2 box running
kernel 2.2.13.

When I attempt to add machines with the smbpasswd command, I receive the
following error:

"smbpasswd: error in loading shared libraries: libsmbpw.so.0: cannot
open shared object         file: No such file or directory"

I note there are no libsmbpw files in the samba lib directory.

What do I need to do to create them?
