they are called trust accounts.  read NT documentation and the samba list
archives for info on what and why of trust accounts.  the samba archives
probably contain more info than the NT docs.

yes.  you know about Unix?  well, you also need to know about NT, now.
and you also need to know what samba's equivalency from NT to Unix is, and
what samba's feature set is (what's supported and what isn't).
