Need info on Samba with mod_perl

Trying to authenticate NT users to access an Apache web server on Solaris 7 
.  I have installed the mod_perl, AuthenSmb, Smb modules, recompiled 
Apache.  Just need some help in configuring the startup.pl , changing the 
httpd.conf and writing the perl script (s) to Authenticate to the NT domain 
and not use a local /etc/passwd file.
Have looked extensively in CPAN, SAMBA, APACHE sites for a clearer 
description of this process but have not found what I needed.

Is there any other sites or resources available to help me?  Thanks.  Just 
a Perl Newbie.
