TNG 0.7 and locking in configure script.

Hi guys,

tried compiling tng 0.7 and the configure script tells me that there is
no locking available and because this is a bad thing it won't continue.
It's on a RH 6.0 box that has successfully compiled every other prealpha
tarball.

Any ideas?

P.S. I wasn't root the first time I ran the script, but when I tried
again as root it did the same....
