samba development

Hi,
I have been using Samba 2.0.7 for quite some time with great success. Management now wants to integrate our current system into NIS with home directories on multiple machines.
Are any special considerations that I need to be aware of in accomplishing this? Documentation regarding this has not been very definitive so far.
Could somebody shed some light on using Samba with NIS?
