...continued samedit issues

After:

./samedit -S . -U root
[root at .]  createuser somename

or

[root at .]  createuser somemachine$

I get:

socket connect to /tmp/.msrpc/.samr/agent failed:  Connection refused
socket connet to /opt/samba-tng/var/locks/.msrpc/samr failed:
Connection refused
ncalrpm_l_establish_connection:  failed samr)
ncalrpc_l_use_add:  connection failed
please use 'lsaquery' first to acertain the SID

Can anyone offer any assistance on this?  The daemons are started and
all appears to be well, but this is what I get when I attempt to add
users with samedit.
