ok thanks, samedit now works :-) , but i'm still unable to fire up the
samba DC because lsarpcd, samrd and netlogond all fail. they seem to
start up OK but it quietly exits. i set the debug level up to 10 and it
said that when it's adding the IPC service the it fails.
i've attached 3 log files, one for lsarpcd, one for netlogond and one
for samrd.
i'm updating from CVS right now, i'll see if that fixes the problem.
