Problems with nmblookup

it looks like nmblookup ignores the resolve specifications from smb.conf. 
but if you try 
	smbclient //john/c$ -d5 
it should use it. You can see the name resolution steps in the first few
lines.
it you type 
	nmblookup -R -U 127.0.0.1 john
on your samba-machine you can query the wins server for john.
