I for one would welcome a utility like this is someone could throw one together.

It would be really useful to have this. If it's so simple
why hasn't it been done before? I did an extensive  search but only came up with
NewSID which seems considerably more involved.( for newSID-ing cloned installs)

prog. would be a prime candidate for a resource kit utility as
profile problems seem to be high on the list of "problematic features".
