Basically all you need is, Microsoft's Client for DOS
(see ftp://ftp.microsoft.com/bussys/Clients/
 and specifically ftp://ftp.microsoft.com/bussys/Clients/MSCLIENT/ )
and an NDIS driver for your NIC to connect to a network share
containing the installation image. There is no reason that this
network share could not be on a samba server.

Microsofts Network-client manager just creates a preconfigured
installation disk for you (which in our case needed quite some
tweaking).
