Problems accessing CVS

I've been trying to check out a new copy of the CVS hierarchy for a couple
of days, but I allways get stuck at the same point, whether I'm co'ing or
update'ing, it allways stalls at samba/packaging/Example/setup.sh.

Anybody got any suggestions ?   I'm running RedHat 5.2 (kernel 2.2.1), CVS
1.10.2, connected via ppp.
