Format of lmhosts file

Does the lmhosts file used by samba work exactly the same as the
one that comes with Windows 95?  In that, I mean are all of the
extensions supported?

Such as:

#PRE
#INCLUDE
#DOM

I'm just wondering because it doesn't seem to understand those
extensions.  If it doesn't, is it in the plan to add that
functionality at a later date?  If not why?

Is there another easy way of getting around this if it isn't
supported currently?
