multiple spawning of smbd

Hi all !

    Yesterday I tried running the prealpha release of samba PDC on
Redhat 6.0. Although I had good results, I noticed that after I ran
"samba start" multiple proccesses of 'smbd -D' kept popping up, at one
time I had about 8 proccesses running at once, with only one 'nmbd -D'
proccess.   Is this a bug yet to be fixed, since samba-2.0.5 without the
PDC module doesn't do this?  Or am I screwing something up?
