Aha, I had extra entries in my smbpasswd that weren't in my UNIX passwd file. It didn't like that, and now that it's cleaned up, I'm getting the same error as Tripp was.. "The local policy of this machine does not allow you to login interactively." I'll keep poking around with NT's settings and see if I can get it to behave. Phil
