Well yes and no, depends on what you want ....
Under RedHat:
-s /dev/null - always exists and always works well as a null login shell.
-M - doesn't create a home directory, leave out if needed.
- g - RedHat automatically puts new users into users.
It's a question of preference and what you are doing, I suggest the man
pages ......
