Yes, I have an "admin users" line in smb.conf
admin users = +admin
The relevant line from /etc/group is
admin:x:800:root,joeadmin

As mentioned in my previous post, all files created through access to
this problem share are owned by joeadmin, despite it being freduser
logged in. It seems that the share remains connected, as joeadmin, when
freduser logs in.
