NT PDC and Encryption

Yes I know.  But to use Samba as an NT PDC, you must enable 
encrypted passwords on the samba server which means 

	encrypt passwords = yes

and populating a smbpasswd file,\.  This of course means 
that the domain logon will not be validated against 
/etc/passwd which was the original question.
