passwd chat setting (SGI-encryped passwd)

Hi:

I'm running Samba 2.0.4b on an SGI server, IRIX 6.5.  I'm using
Samba's PDC capabilities for NT logins, so passwords are encrypted.
I just read another e-mail on this list that said the normal
passwd chat setting defaults to plaintext passwords.  This is why
I see an error message when I run testparm.

Does any SGI user out there have a "passwd chat" setting that works?
