Hi,

I just upgraded my samba.PDC from 1.9.8 to version 2.1.0-prealpha
(I had to for the service pack)

But user can not login anymore with error on NT screen: C0000198

[ Oh this was a fresh install, old /usr/local/samba was renamed to old.]

and on the Unix side I get:

[1999/08/03 17:30:12, 0] passdb/sampass.c:getsamfile21pwent(108)
  trust account NET68$ should be in DOMAIN_GROUP_RID_USERS

I am running the exact same code and conf file on two other subnets and
they are fine. (different DOMAIN)

I have a very simple  smb.conf file:

[global]
workgroup = ROBOSAMBA
debug level = 1
server string = Robotics Samba PDC Server
encrypt passwords = yes
hosts allow = xxx.xxx. 127.0.0.1 localhost
load printers = yes
printcap name = /etc/printers.conf
printing = bsd
;  guest account = pcguest
log file = /usr/local/samba/var/log.%m
max log size = 1000
security = user
socket options = TCP_NODELAY
remote announce = 171.64.255.255
os level = 250
domain logons = yes
local master = yes
domain master = yes
preferred master = yes
logon path = \\%L\Profiles\%U
dns proxy = no

; preserve case = yes
; case sensitive = yes

; END OF GLOBAL

[homes]
   comment = Home Directories
   browseable = no
   writable = yes

[netlogon]
   comment = Network Logon Service
   path = /usr/local/samba/lib/netlogon
   guest ok = no
   writable = no

[Profiles]
        path = /usr/local/samba/profiles
        root preexec = /usr/local/samba/bin/buildprofile %U
        browseable = no
        writeable = yes
        guest ok = no

Any Clues?

Thanks alot
