Domain Controller not available

I'm running Samba version 2.1.0 prealpha on linux Redhat 5.2 version
 
I add my workstaion in the /etc/passwd and in the smbpasswd
I add users too
I joined the new Domain but when I try to logon the message is "Your Domain Controller is not available"

I find the same problem in the archives but no solutions
