problems with smbtar

Changed over to 2.0.0beta4 on one of our domain controller.  smbtar no longer
tar's up subdirectories.   E.g.

% smbtar -v -s odin -x odind  -u testy -p <password> -t /tmp/xx.tar

There is also a "Dell" directory in here which isn't being tar'ed up!

Anyone got any idea what might be wrong?
