[Samba-it] Problemi di Join

Ciao a tutti,
ho il seguente problema (samba 3.0.10-1.4E.9 su CentOs 4.4, security=user - deve fare da server PDC):

# net rpc join -UAdministrator
Unable to find a suitable server

# net rpc join -UAdministrator -S PDC
Password:
Joined domain PDC.

Idem con l'opzione testjoin

# net rpc testjoin

Unable to find a suitable server
Join to domain 'PDC' is not valid

Invece:
# net rpc testjoin -S PDC
Join to domain 'PDC' is OK.

Se mi sposto su un client (winXP Pro), non riesco a fare il join: "Impossibile contattare un controller di dominio per il dominio PDC.".

Premetto che la rete non ha firewall tra client e server.
Il mio smb.conf è:

[global]
   workgroup = PDC
   netbios name = PDC
   server string = Dominio (Server %h)
   log file = /var/log/samba/%m.log
   max log size = 50
   syslog = 2
   security = user
   password server = *
   socket address = 192.168.0.3
   interfaces = 192.168.0.3 127.0.0.1
   bind interfaces only = yes
   [... CUT add user script ... CUT]

   encrypt passwords = yes
   passwd program = /usr/bin/passwd %u
   passwd chat = *New*UNIX*password* %n\n *ReType*new*UNIX*password* %n\n *passwd:*all*authentication*tokens*updated*successfully*
   socket options = TCP_NODELAY SO_RCVBUF=8192 SO_SNDBUF=8192

   local master = yes
   os level = 33
   domain master = yes
   preferred master = yes
logon drive = W:
logon home = \\%L\%U\.profile

Perché riesco a fare il join al dominio solo specificando il nome del dominio? In altre installazioni, era sufficiente lanciare # net rpc join -UAdministrator, per fare il join. Perché i client non vedono il server? C'è qualche impostazione sul DNS da effettuare?

Grazie in anticipo.
Ciao
