[Samba-it] Samba 3.0.1-2 Redhat7.3 winbindd_privileged

Ciao,

ho installato la versione di samba-3.0.1-2_rh73.i386.rpm per RedHat 7.3 rilasciata il 15/12/2003.

Devo cambiare i diritti al file pipe che si trova /dove/sta/winbindd_privileged/pipe , per far sì che, nel caso in cui il  suo possessore sia squid, possa girare. 

Il punto è che, di solito, quella directory winbindd_privileged solitamente si trova in /var/cache/samba/winbindd_privileged/pipe.
Nel mio caso, ho scoperto con il man che quel file, si trova in $LOCKDIR/winbindd_privileged/pipe.

Purtroppo, sono una newbie di linux, quindi non so come raggiungere il file pipe. Se digito # cd $LOCKDIR  entro nella directory /root. Ma al suo interno non esiste la winbindd_privileged/pipe.


Ecco che cosa dice in proposito il man file:

/tmp/.winbindd/pipe

The unix pipe over which  clients communicate with the winbindd program. For security reasons, the winbind client will only attempt to connect to the winbindd daemon in both the tmp/.winbindd directory and /tmp/.winbindd/pipe file are owned by root.

$LOCKDIR/winbindd_privileged/pipe

The unix pipe over whitch 'privileged' clients communicatewith the winbindd program. For security reasons accessto some winbindd funtions, like those needed by the ntlm_auth utility is restricted. By default, only users in the 'root' group will get this access, however the administrator may change the group  permissions on $LOCKDIR/winbindd_privileged/pipe to allow programs like 'squid' to use ntlm_auth.  Note that the winbind client will only attempt to connect to the winbindd daemon if both the $LOCKDIR/winbindd_privileged DIRECTORY AND  $LOCKDIR/winbindd_privileged/pipe file are owned by root.
