Install Problem Samba 2.2.x with KERBEROS

Hi Friends!

I don't know exactly what the configure option "--with-krb5=base-dir" does.
Who ever wants to make a Kerberos authentication?

I want to use Samba with Kerberos 5 authentication and want to compile
my Samba 2.2.5 on SuSE 7.2 (kernel 2.4.18).

If I compile with the option --with-krb5=some-path-like-/ then the configure
tools
says "checking whether to use Kerberos 5... no"

If I compile with "--with-krb5" then it says "checking whether to use
Kerberos 5... yes"
BUT compilation dies with
"checking configure summary... configure: error: summary failure. Aborting
config"

In the config.log file I can find the entry

>>configure:13589: gcc -o conftest -O -Iyes/include -D_LARGEFILE64_SOURCE
>>-D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64 -D_GNU_SOURCE -Lyes/lib
conftest.c -ldl -lnsl -ldes425 -lkrb5
>>-lcrypto -lcom_err -lpam -lpopt 1>&5
>>/usr/i486-suse-linux/bin/ld: cannot find -ldes425
>>collect2: ld returned 1 exit status

The system can't find the >des< encryption, I believe. But I am nearly sure
that they are installed.

Can anyone help me?

Best regards,
Andy
