Log:
autoreconf -f seems to rebuild aclocal.m4 and this breakes compat with the local libtool
so I updated the files from to the ones from /usr/share/libtool on my SuSE 9.2

newer libtool's use shrext_cmds='.so' and older shrext='.so'

this let's the libs to be installed as libgssapi.4.0.0 and not as libgssapi.so.4.0.0

this is now fixed for me
