While you are looking at that kind of stuff, sombody mentioned that 
'veto files' also applies to . and ..

As such it is possible to get things is a bit of a mess when people try
to 'veto files = /.*/' - trying to really hide the hidden files. (or 
somthing like that, this is from memory of an old e-mail discussion on 
samba at samba.org)
