Fix for Explorer problems on older Windows 9X machines. Expanding a
DFS tree using the left pane wasn't working. Apparently, older DFS clients
can't handle two backslashes in a dfs pathname sent in a referral, although they send two backslashes in requests. Fixed by MS in post-Win2K. We get around
this by always sending dfs referrals with only one backslash prepending the
request pathname.
